ARTENATURA - Style Land Art

Arte Sella is an international biennial exhibition of contemporary art, founded in 1986, that takes place outdoors on the lawns and in the woods of Val di Sella (district of Borgo Valsugana, province of Trento). Since 1996 the Arte Sella project has expanded along a forest road on the southern face of monte Armentera: an ideal course called ARTENATURA has therefore emerged where visitors can see the art works and enjoy the special environmental setting at the same time (different types of woods, rocks, monumental trees.

For a few years now work for Arte Sella has taken place at Malga Costa too, also in the valle di Sella, where the work continues in an unusual but spectacular setting, exhibitions, events that have made this place famous as a true exhibition. The artist Giuliano Mauri made the monumental work called “Cattedrale vegetale” (The Plant Cathedral) in the area surrounding malga Costa in 2001”.
